The ECBA EPPO Working Group webinars bring together defence lawyers, academics, and magistrates from across participating Member States to exchange practical insights and experiences in handling EPPO cases. They focus on identifying recurring defence challenges, analysing procedural particularities at both EU and national level, and sharing strategic approaches to representation before European Delegated Prosecutors and national courts.

Previous sessions have explored topics such as cross-border investigations and evidence gathering, access to the case file, judicial review of EPPO decisions, VAT and subsidy fraud prosecutions, the use of joint investigation teams, and the interplay between EU and national procedural rules. Speakers regularly include practitioners with first-hand EPPO experience, offering concrete case examples and practical tools. The initiative aims to equip ECBA members with clear guidance, promote consistency in defence practices, and strengthen the protection of procedural rights within the evolving EPPO framework.
